Kernel.org

John Hawley (warthog19@eaglescrag.net)

Kernel.org is one of the linchpins of Linux Kernel development. It boasts an incredibly diverse user base serving kernel developers, distributions and supporting user space programs. As with every year, we have had a lot to do: we have deployed, successfully, or GeoDNS name server, expanded our service offerings to include patchwork, and in the last year we successfully filled the full time position for kernel.org. This BOF session will provide kernel developers and Linux users with an update on kernel.org related activities, and also provide a forum in which to discuss our progress, the state of the servers, ongoing challenges, and other topics of interest to our users. This will help us determine and set priorities for the upcoming year, as well as help us shape the future of kernel.org.
